When we are open 

The surgery is open at the following times:        

Training Days - PLT 

Throughout the year the Practice will close for an afternoon once each month for staff training, referred to as PLT (Protected Learning Time).

From February 2012 the training days will move to the second Wednesday of the month.

The dates are:

Under normal circumstances, the Surgery will close at 1:00pm. Please check for posters around the surgery for any last minute changes to these details. 

Whilst we are closed:

• Repeat prescriptions will be available for collection direct from the Lloyds Pharmacy opposite the Surgery.
• If you need to see a Doctor, call the Northampton Out of Hours Service on 03336 664 664.
• If you need general medical advice, call NHS Direct on 0845 46 47. They can provide immediate health guidance at any time of the day or night.

Out of Hours 

If you need urgent medical advice outside normal surgery hours you can do one of the following:

Call NHS Direct on 0845 4647 where you will speak to an expert nurse,

    or

Call the Northampton Out of Hours Service on 03336 664 664. who can:

• Advise you over the telephone of self-help treatment
• Invite you to attend the Emergency Centre
• Visit you at home if appropriate
• Arrange for an emergency ambulance if appropriate

   Please remember that this is an emergency service only and that all of the doctors are GPs from
   local surgeries.

The nearest casualty department is at Northampton General Hospital. In case of life threatening illnesses or accidents you should consider calling emergency services by telephoning 999.
