Appointments

circled_dayYou can make an appointment to see your doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse by telephoning 0844 815 1111. This line is busiest before 11.00am. If possible please phone later especially if you are requesting a routine appointment.

You can also book an appointment online using SystmOnline, our online booking system. You will need to register your name for this service with the practice. There is a link on the home page to access this service.

We are happy for you to see any of our doctors, however it is better to stay with one doctor for continuity of care, especially during one episode of illness.

We offer the following types of appointments: -

  • Urgent – If you feel that your problem warrants urgent treatment we offer a number of 10 minute “on the day” consultations with our nurse practitioner or practice nurse. If necessary, you will also see the duty doctor.
In order that urgent cases get priority we rely on you not to request urgent attention for non-urgent matters.
  • 48 Hours  – We hold a number of appointments that are bookable 2 days in advance. These become available daily but are in strong demand so patients are advised to phone early in the morning. These should be used appropriately for problems that cannot wait for a normal appointment but are not urgent.
  • Routine  – You can choose to consult the doctor of your choice by appointment at the morning or afternoon surgery. Please allow at least a week when booking a routine appointment.

If you cannot keep your appointment, please let us know so that we can give it to someone else
