Flu Clinics

Our Seasonal Influenza (Flu) Immunisation clinics will begin on Monday 5th October 2009. The aim is to protect people who are more likely to develop complications of flu. You should be immunised if you:

  • are 65 years or over;

  • have heart, lung, kidney or liver disease;

  • have diabetes or a chronic neurological condition;

  • have a poor immune system e.g. long term steroids, taking chemotherapy, no spleen, HIV infection;

  • live in a nursing home or other long stay residential care accommodation;

  • are a carer

To arrange for an appointment, please telephone 0844 815 1111.

We anticipate the Swine Flu vaccine being available towards the end of October 2009. The vaccine can only be given to patients with the above conditions and for patients 65 years or over only if they have the conditions listed. It can be given at the same time as the Seasonal Flue vaccination.

If you would like both vaccinations at the same time, we suggest you wait to book your appointment.
